Sheepskin Facts & Care: 
My sheepskin leather pieces are imported from New Zealand and Woolmark Certified, perfect for general craft use, decor or rug purpose, and quite popular with pet owners for cat & dog mats. 

Sheepskin shearling wool leather is naturally antimicrobial. Its cool in the summer and warm in the winter. It is one of the most ancient materials humans harvested for warmth and comfort, and with proper care a piece can last generations. 

Care: Keep dry. Keep out of direct sunlight. The long piles of fluff are Woolmark Certified high quality brand new sheeps wool. They love to be brushed with proper brushes, and also get good shakeouts and airing outs outside regularly. 

Spot clean small messes, as well there are special erasers and brushes for the natural suede pelt backing. These can be dry cleaned. These can be washed in COLD water and NO HEAT to dry. Each wash will slightly dry out the wool over time, so reserve full washing for essential cleaning. These will shrink and or mat up with heat. Sheepskin wool contains natural lanolin oil, this conditions and protects the wool, and when damp or contained in airtight spaces can potentially have a leathery odor like a wool sweater. Air and dry out the piece to remove this temporary affliction.
